The ASUS Vivobook F510QA-DS99 is an affordable 15-inch notebook in the entry-level class. The design is taken from the F510UA series of mid-range laptops, but the hardware components are not. At least, not quite. As we’ll see, given the price, this device can accurately pack the punch. Moreover, there is a certain way you can get a good price for your money.
The Vivobook F510QA is equipped with an AMD A12-9720P quad-core processor. In terms of performance, this processor is slightly slower than the 8th generation. Intel Core i3 generation, but faster than any entry-level CPU that is not an Intel CPU This bridges the gap between the best of the best and the cheapest of the best.
The system memory is surprisingly sufficient for such an affordable laptop. The F510QA-DS99 has 8 gigabytes of RAM for all your daily tasks and more. You can successfully multitask, switch browser tabs and easily edit photos.
Again, the storage space is surprising considering the price. You get a fast 256 GB SSD that further reduces the relative inertia of the processor. Ultimately, you benefit from faster and more flexible use.

My only problem with this affordable Vivobook is the display quality. Don’t be fooled by the resolution alone. Despite its size of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it lacks quality, especially if you take brightness and color into account. In short, the screen is not bright enough to work in sunny rooms (200nit) and the colour accuracy is not that high (only 45% NTSC).
The interface and network capabilities are satisfactory, but the lack of an Ethernet connection would force me to give up this model if I needed a replacement desktop device.
In terms of portability, the Vivobook F510QA-DS99 is not as heavy as other affordable laptops, but also not as light. Weighing about 3.7 pounds, this fairly thin 15-inch laptop can only be used at home or in the office. I wouldn’t use it to go to work or travel.
